Trends That I Have Noticed Watching Spring/Summer 26 Fashion Shows

Welcome Back Readers,

As I watched some of the fashion shows for spring/summer 2026, I noticed a few trends from the shows that I know high street brands will incorporate into their collections for next year. The current shows I noticed this from were by Schiaparelli, Yves Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, and Christian Dior.

The trends that I can see in mainstream fast fashion brands adopting are:

1. Polka dot-printed dress and outfits –

Although polka dots have been around for quite some time, movies such as Pretty Woman have made the brown and white polka dot iconic and a trend in and of itself. I can definitely see many people rocking polka dot outfits wearing various different iterations of the classic style; instead of seeing polka dot dresses in the colours of white, black, navy, or brown, we may see the pattern in sequins, in mesh materials, or with cut-out details throughout the.

2. Oversized Bows on pieces of clothing –

Bows on clothing have been around for some time, but through the spring-summer collections by luxury designers, I noticed that many designs had oversized bow details on the garments. I can definitely see fast fashion brands incorporating them.

3. Low-neck tops and dresses –

V-neck tops and dresses have been around since time immemorial, but I did notice that there was an unspoken theme of gowns and dresses that were low V-necked.

4. Mesh/see-through maxi or midi dresses –

Mesh and see-through gowns will definitely be a trend next year. Many luxury brands include various versions of this design in their spring/summer collections.
