Welcome Back Readers,
In this year, we have seen iconic high streets reclaim their thrones in the scene. Topshop, an iconic brand that shut down all of its stores in early 2021 due to the financial strain that the Global COVID-19 pandemic placed on their parent company, the Arcadia Group, was acquired by ASOS, which features their pieces on its online website.
The Return of The Iconic Topshop and Topman –

Topshop hosted a fashion show in Trafalgar Square, which was the first runway the brand has hosted in seven years. It was to showcase their AW25 collection. This event was star-studded, with all the most influential influencers and stars making an appearance as the iconic British brand that has been instrumental to many people’s lives and fashion experimentation. It was also announced that in late August, Topshop and Topman would be returning to physical stores for customers to purchase and try on in various John Lewis stores and in Liberty London Residency, which is around the corner from its former iconic flagship store on Oxford Street. We can only hope that the store opens a flagship store in central London once more.

H&M London Fashion Week Return –

This was a star-studded runway showcase from well-known models such as Alex Consani, Lila Moss, Amelia Gray, and Romeo Beckham walking the showcase. Lola Young performed at the live show. Many influencers and celebrities were in attendance, which was a great way for the brand to highlight their 2025 Autumn/Winter collection. Now, H&M is not shy about hosting events throughout the year that feature a particular collaboration with a celebrity or seasonal collections. But a runway show is definitely a rare occurrence for the High Street brand. They sure did over-deliver.

Final thoughts…
Will fashion runway shows become a regular event for high street brands, or is this only for 2025? Can we expect brands such as Zara, Cos, and Massimo Dutti to follow suit?
