Welcome Back Readers,
Everyone alive wants to feel confident in themselves; they want to be their brightest and most authentic selves. But most of us do not know what it takes to be happy in one’s self and how to be happy in your own skin. Today’s article is for you. Think of this post as part one of this series. This series will be perfect for those who are looking to improve themselves and become the better version of them.
Step 1: Build visible proof/evidence
The reason why you may not be confident in yourself is because your current evidence of your life is not validating anything for you to be confident.
Being confident is something that you must work at daily, and one way to achieve confidence is through reflecting on the things that you have invested your time and effort in.
To be closer to confidence in yourself, you must start by working on the three/four areas of your life: physical health, mental health, emotional health, and spiritual health. If you target these four areas and work on them slowly but surely, you will be able to build valid evidence for yourself to be able to bet on you.
Physical Health –

The amount of discipline and dedication it takes to not only exercise but to stay consistent through the pain, discomfort, and strain that regular exercise can put on oneself. When you work on your body in particular, it is easier to become confident in yourself. I firmly believe that if you love the body that you are in, you are more likely to exude confidence. Since your body looking fabulous and fit is evidence of your hard work, consistency, and dedication to the exercise. Since your body is physical and can be seen by yourself and others, it will build self-confidence in your brain that you can do anything. If you can look in the mirror and love what you see and feel comfortable in your own skin. You will exude the attributes of a confident person.
Mental Health/Mindset –

This is extremely important as working on your body/physical appearance is important, as you can do all the work on your appearance, finances, and your lifestyle. But if you do not fix your mental health/mindset alongside this, then you will operate with the same mindset you had before you began working on yourself. Mindset work is important; if you operate with a scarcity mindset, then you will never be able to obtain many things in life, as what you think, you attract. If you do not fix your mindset, you will end up not being able to hold onto the things that you desire in life. You will gain the body, finances, house, family, or partner, and you will repel it out of your life because you did not do the work.
You can improve your mental health and mindset by reading more books, listening to and watching things (such as podcasts and videos) that change or challenge the way you think. If you have a scarcity mindset and feel a lack of resources, then watch content and listen to people who have an abundance mindset, seeing the resources in the world as limitless, etc. Surround yourself with people who have an abundance and growth mindset.
Emotional Health –

Fixing your emotional health is extremely important, as it will help you to not react to everything and to see everything in life from an objective lens rather than a subjective one. Understanding that most things in life do not require a reaction from you is a key aspect of emotional well-being. By developing emotional intelligence, you can learn to manage your responses and prioritize your mental and psychological well-being. This ability is crucial as it enables you not only to pursue the things you desire but also to cultivate and maintain meaningful relationships and a sense of fulfillment in your life. Emotional intelligence provides a solid foundation for navigating life’s challenges, making sound decisions, and fostering positive connections with others.
Spiritual Health –

This is extremely important as your spiritual health will enable you to be your full self. As a Christian, I can say that my relationship with God is extremely important to me, as it allows me to have a purpose in all of the things that I do and gives meaning to my life. To understand that although I may be ambitious and achieve all the things that I desire, that is not the end-all-be-all. There is not only more to life, but my life has more meaning than these things. Cultivating a strong spiritual connection has provided me with a sense of peace and guidance in navigating life’s challenges. It has instilled in me a profound compassion for others and has shaped my moral compass. Recognizing the divine purpose behind my actions has given me a renewed sense of fulfillment and has encouraged me to approach each day with gratitude and mindfulness. As I continue to deepen my faith, I am continually reminded of the importance of humility, forgiveness, and servitude, virtues that greatly enrich my daily interactions and experiences.
