Welcome back Readers,
I know that adult hood has surely hood winked the majority of us and none of us are actually prepared for what becoming an adult entails. I have created a small list of things that have helped me during this challeneging transition.
101 tips:
Set up all of your bills as direct debits on payday-
Looking at the money leaving your account can be distressing, but it needs to be done. By putting all of your bills on a direct debit on pay day, it grants you with a more stress free environment as you do not need to think or put money aside for bills.
It will allow you to not miss a payment and be able to know exactly how much money you have to spend after all your bills are removed.
Having multiple bank accounts-
If you are someone who loses track of how much you spend and are more likely spend money on whim or impulsivity. Then having multiple bank accounts/cards for the different expenses that you have will drastically help you.
For instance have one card for shopping and groceries, another for rent and one for transportation etc.
Exercise–
This is important for all ages but especially for adults as your body is no longer the same and you don’t have the same energy as you did when you were a teenager or a child.
Your weight tends to stay on your body much longer and is more difficult to get off. The older you get the more likely you are to suffer from certain illness.
Take some time out for yourself and become more self aware–
We can get used to spreading ourselves thin and giving everyone else our all and leaving nothing for ourselves which will lead us to be more burnt out and tired.
By spending more time by yourself and becoming more self aware you will be your best self and be able to pour more into others.
You can’t pour out of an empty cup. Take care of you first.
We all don’t have it figured out-
One lie that I was perplexed with was that in my 20s my life would be all together and that I was going to have my ish all together.
IT IS A LIE !
You have time sweetie and we are all figuring it out, don’t worry.
You are not the only one and you have so much life to live and time to get it figured out.
This doesn’t mean to have no plan or purpose but just because you don’t see the fruits of your labour yet doesn’t mean that you should give up.
