Are Sew Ins Here To Stay ?

Welcome back Readers,

Last year and possibly mid to late 2022 we seen a large influx in the amount of people beginning to get sew in extensions again. The girls became tired of wearing wigs and having to deal with lace and all the complications that comes with it.

Will you revert back to sew ins in 2024 or will stick to getting wigs ?

There are many pros and also some cons to sew in wigs

PROS-

1) It looks more natural-

In comparison to its counterparts sew ins look more natural and it will snatch or damage your baby hairs in the long run.

2) They are quite versatile-

Even though you cannot change the parting as much as you can on a wig, sew ins can be quite versatile.

3) If you purchase good quality hair it will last you long-

Since sew in styles are maintained and need to be taken cared off as if it were your own hair. Purchasing good quality will last you a lot longer and can be re worn without fearing a lace front or closure balding.

4) It is cheaper-

Solely purchasing bundles once a year, installations is a lot cheaper than getting a wig.

5) Your hair will grow-

Your leave out may not grow or be damaged if heat is used on it regularly but the rest of your hair that is covered and protected will last you grow.

CONS-

1) Your leave out (natural hair left out) will get damaged-

A no brainer if you put a lot of heat on your leave out and are touching it regularly you will damage your hair.

2) It requires more upkeep than a glue less wig-

Your sew in will need to be maintained, washed and treated as though it is your real hair. Unlike glue less wigs which can be removed every night, sew ins are a result of how well they are maintained by the owner.

After reading the pros and cons are you more enticed or less likely to try a sew in hairstyle this year ?
