Raise your hands in the air if you have ever suffered from a mental health related issue before. If you have never been affected by it, then not only am I perplexed but I would love to know your secrets please don’t be shy.

But as for the rest of us we have been in the trenches fighting for our dear lives with this thing called mental health. Some of us are even hanging on by a strand of hair at this point…….

Some daily tips that can help you to manage and minimise your mental health-

Excercising

Whether you are going on walks, jogs, being apart of a club or going to the gym. The act of partaking in some sort of physical movement everyday it will help to ease/clear your mind. The endorphins produced whilst working out can help your mental health.

Exercising will grant you with something to aim towards daily which can be the light needed when life is looking grim.

Speak to somebody about the little issues instead of sweeping everything under a rug-

Suppressing and sweeping the issues that you face under a rug is compared to by Therapists as being like a balloon with air inside being pushed under water eventually the balloon will pop due to the immense pressure being placed on it.

It is important to have a trusted individual that you can offload on and speak to about these issues, as the body will hold the score if you keep sweeping things under the rug.

Like a balloon pops/bursts when enough pressure is applied so will your emotions when they have been suppressed for a long time.

Check the content that your are consuming-

What we constantly consume will have an affect on our overall health. Certain content and content creators will unintentionally make you feel worse of about your life and self.

The content you consume should have a healthy affect on you. It should motivate you to want more from your life whilst pushing you to work hard on yourself. The moment that content begins to make you feel negative about your life or you can see it is beginning to affect you, you are allowed to unsubscribe.

Develop your relationship with God-

Your relationship with God will be light as you walk through the darkest of valleys. It will be the rock that keeps you planted even in the most trying times.It will give you hope that each trial and tribulation that face will only be for a mere moment.

It will allow you to like Jesus to sleep during each and every single storm that life throws at you. As you will be granted with such a peace that your redeemer lives and that he will never leave you nor forsake you even when other people might.

Reaffirm positive words/ what you want to see in your life-

Find some positive words that you can repeat daily to keep you grounded. That even when your mental health begins to take its toll these words can remind you that it is just a storm and that like all storms it will pass.

The words that you confess are extremely important as life and death are in the power of the tongue. Please be cautious of what you are say about yourself and your life.

For those in the faith, pick some scriptures in the bible and reaffirm them daily.
