Welcome back Readers,
The new year is starting in t- days are you excited ? A great way to ensure that you get the most out of a year is to set up a plan or goals that you wish to achieve by the end of that year. What better way to write down the goals you wish to achieve in the year then a few weeks before your current year ends.
My question to you is, are ready to be a better version of you? It’s a tough question as many of us want to be a better version of ourselves but don’t want to put in the necessary work required.
In order for you to a create a plan for the new year I’m going to need you to sit back and reflect on your previous year on all the good times, bad times and the ugly times. What lessons did you learn and what flaws or issues were highlighted throughout the year. Use this to order your steps in this new year.
*Reminder to book your annual appointments with your gp, blood test, dentist etc. Girl, your health comes first above all. Your health is your wealth so make sure to book your appointments asap.
Here is our list of Healthy goals to set yourself:
1. Start your workout journey

This is the year that you will have your exercise routine on lock. Working out does not need to be an extreme thing that you do which you hate it. For instance, you do not need to go to the gym 7 days a week for 8 hours a day to be considered fit.
Working out or moving your body can be something as simply as going on long walks, joining a club (a tennis club, running club, Pilates or dance club), as long as you are moving your body during the day or week. You could opt to go to the gym, work out on your own, with a personal trainer or attend the classes that your gym hosts 2-3 times a week.
Your aim should be to move your body more than you did last year, and gradually scale yourself as you go. Don’t fixate on a particular body etc. As you may feel discouraged if you don’t reach it, see instant results, or you may stop working out altogether once you reach the goal.
Make working out a lifestyle and not a goal to tick off.
2. Drink more water

Drinking water has so many health benefits and it is important to drink it daily. Some benefits are that you will be less dehydrated, your skin will be clearer, and it will clean your stomach. Just note your body is made up of 60% water. To find out the many benefits of water please do your own research on it.
Even though it may taste less ideal than the other options available in stores drink your water! Add some fresh into your water bottle for some extra taste.
3. Spend time to understand yourself

Learn more about you this year.
Who are you? What do you like? What do you not like? What are your strengths and what are your weaknesses etc.
By spending more time with yourself, you become more self-aware which will then leads you to work on yourself. Through working on yourself you will improve the quality of your life and the quality of the decisions you make.
4. Be smarter with your finances

Set up financial goals for yourself, learn how to increase and sustain your finances. Financial literacy is key to a brighter future, so this year educate yourself and start putting systems in place so that you are no longer forced to live pay check to pay check.
5. Develop your relationship with God

Your faith and relationship in God will help sustain you in all the waves and uncertainties that life throws at you. The word of the Lord will be the firm foundation that you will stand on in the most trying times.
This year priorities your relationship in God and you will see how much you will blossom and prevail over all trials and tribulations thrown your way.
